July 4th Fun
My roomie, Angie, and I had a nice 4th of July holiday. We started the day off mulching the flower beds in our front yard. It's been on our to do list for a long time it seems...so we finally tackled the project. Our next project is our backyard...which is quickly becoming jungle-like with all the weeds popping up everywhere. After our mulching project was finished we decided to head to DQ, get some icecream and then go on a leisurely walk at Foster Park. The walk was cut a bit short since it started raining. We were glad the sun decided to come out later in the day and decided to go see the fire works. We parked ourselves in Concordia High School's parking lot in order to save our$5. Afterwords we decided the show was good from a far but there's nothing like feeling the thump in your chest from fireworks going off. We might just have to part with our $5 next year. It'll probably be worth it!Jamie at 5:09 PM
