Happy Thanksgiving!
November has been filled with many good things! I started it off spending a much needed girl’s weekend with Claire. We enjoyed some shopping, some girl talk, and the warmth of a fire in my fireplace. We also celebrated her birthday. It’s hard to believe she’s 27 years old! That means I’m soon to follow. How is it that my 20s are flying by so fast?
The following week Jayden was born. I’ve spent much of my time and energy since then either with Betsy, Gerson, and Jayden or preparing their home for them to move into once Jayden is released from the NICU. We also had a little family reunion last weekend. Andy, Elissa, and Joshua came down and got to meet Jayden. It was great to be together, play games, and be entertained by Joshua. He’s still simply adorable and full of energy.
As Thanksgiving Day draws nearer, I’ve been pondering on all that I’m thankful for. So, I thought I’d share them with you.
- I’m thankful for my relationship with Jesus Christ. His love and grace astound me.
- I’m thankful God is the same yesterday, today and forever. I take comfort in the fact that no matter what transpires on this earth He is unshakeable.
- I’m thankful for a loving family and that we get to be together this Christmas.
- I’m thankful for nephews…they have a special way of making you feel loved.
- I’m thankful for my friends and community with whom I do daily life.
- I’m thankful for my job….it’s one that I love, grow in, and am challenged by regularly.
- I’m thankful for my co-workers…they are always so gracious and are in many ways like family to me.
- I’m thankful for God’s grace in my life to allow me to become wiser and stronger through and after trials.
- I’m thankful for restored joy and hope.
- I’m thankful for all the service men and women who are fighting for our country and sacrificing their time, energy, and sometimes lives in an effort to keep us safe.
- I’m thankful for all the little things in life that make me smile like the fire in my fireplace right now, a good cup of hot tea, a fragrant candle burning, a delectable dessert, and Mama’s fried chicken to name a few.
- I’m thankful for God’s provision for all my needs.
