The Flood

Since I didn't get a chance to post pics from the flood, I thought I'd reminisce a bit and show you what we awoke to that fine October day. This first pic shows Randy (Angie's boyfriend) digging out all the gook (is that a word?) that was in our sump pump. It smelled like a sewer. Thanks Randy for doing such a yucky job!

Most of the water stayed on the beige carpet, but as you can see in the picture below, it did run into the blue carpet a bit. Fortunately we didn't have to rip up the blue carpet.
As you can see there was no hope for the beige carpet unless we ripped it up. It's all back to normal now and I'm even enjoying my Christmas decor!
