Claire and John's Visit
It was so wonderful to see Claire and John and spend some time with them this weekend! John was in his friends wedding, so they came home to Angola for whirlwind of a weekend. We really didn't see much of John becuase of all the wedding festivities he participated in. Above is a very happy John and Claire at Bob Evans where they enjoyed good ole U.S. food such as a rasberry belgion waffle, smooth coffee with real cream, and delicious milk. They enjoyed the special treats and savored them since it will be two more months until they can enjoy that again. We spent 2 hours in Wal-Mart just enjoying the convience of the store and all it had to offer. Claire and I bought the same shirt in different colors (we've always had similar tastes). It works since we live in different cities, but we still have to be careful when we get together for a weekend. I still remember when we dressed the same on purpose when we were in grade school. We're crazy girls! I don't know what we were thinking. Claire also decided she wanted to get her hair cut since she wasn't pleased with her latest cut in the D.R. She got more layers put in and it looks great!
Friday we enjoyed the outdoor's on the Roth's deck, but Saturday it was a little bit cooler...hence the sweatshirt and jacket! John's parents live next to a lake in the middle of the woods...it's what you would think of when you think of a retreat center...except they get to live there all the time!
We slept in on Saturday, checked out Meijer, enjoyed lunch at Arby's and shot the breeze until it was time for everyone to head to the wedding at which point Gail and I headed for home since we didn't know the bride and groom. We thought about crashing the wedding, but then thought better of it and hit the road instead. It would have been fun though to have been able to say "I've crashed a wedding!" Oh well, perhaps another time.
The time flew by so fast. I can hardly believe it's already Sunday! I'm really looking forward to their return to Bloomington in June.
